Animal Awareness Day

The students at St. Patrick’s Salesian School in Sliema, filled the yard with so many different colours today, as they all came in casual clothing. The idea behind it was to donate money to Animal Awareness Groups in Malta.

During the second lesson, Nevise Borg Caligari, a local Tv Personality, made an interesting presentation to our boys highlighting fact about animal behaviour, the homework to be done before one buys or adopts a pet, and the importance of knowing the commitment needed that goes along with getting a pet in one’s life.

The students actively participated in this session with discussions and questions that highlighted animal welfare issues. Animal Awareness Day served as a powerful reminder that compassion has no boundaries and that each and every creature deserves love and care.
