Our Athletics Club
Months of training and anticipation… the day of the races arrived… a few weeks apart from each other. Both races were thoroughly enjoyed. What an experience.
RACE 1
Long months of hard work and training paid off today during the Gozo race as Matthew Fenech placed 19th with a time of 21.54 and Jeremy Bonello followed by placing right behind with a steady time of 22.00. Both athletes took part in the Open Male 5K. Ezekiel Okoro placed 2nd (8.44), Taif al Shahumi placed 3rd (8.57) and Skye Joe Borg at 7th place (11:14) in the 2K. We are so proud of the lads who then celebrated together as a team and enjoyed the rest of the live-in in Gozo!
RACE 2
Strong, compact and united: St. Patrick’s School Athletics team. Resilience, hard work and teamwork have paid off with an excellent individual and team performance at the Caritas Malta Run for Life. Well done to all youngsters and staff members who have participated in the 10K, 5K, 2.5K and 4K walk! A top performance from Dr Stef Bugeja who placed second in the 5K Female category! Woww!!
