Grigio’s Journey: A holistic Program supporting boys and their families

Grigio’s Journey is a specialised after school therapeutic journey within the care facility of St. Patrick’s Salesian School. The programme provides a structured and safe space for boys aged 8-11 and their families experiencing various social challenges. This makes Grigio’s Journey a unique initiative in Malta, as it is currently the only programme of its kind offering support for children and their families.

“Before, I used to get really angry. Now I know how to calm down. I learned that here”

The programme of Grigio’s Journey is holistic and deeply rooted in Don Bosco’s preventive system, which emphasises reason, spirituality, and kindness to foster a nurturing and trust-based environment. By creating a structured and supportive space, Grigio’s Journey seeks to strengthen the boys’ personal and social skills, helping them build resilience and a sense of belonging. By arranging support groups for the boys’ parents, the program is fostering connections and helping to improve their parenting skills. The programme’s name, “Grigio,” is inspired by Don Bosco’s loyal dog, symbolising guidance, and protection.

“I love the program. I love everyone here”
