Ending Term 1 in style

Wednesday 20th December was the last school day at St. Patrick’s, before the Christmas Holidays. It was an amazing and a merry day indeed. After the Assembly, the boys spent some time with their class teachers, LSEs and staff members, where gifts were exchanged. Then, the whole school gathered at the Church of St. Patrick’s to celebrate the Holy Mass. Fr. Savio Vella sdb was the main celebrant of this animated Mass. beautiful readings, carol singing, the annual ‘Priedka’ together with a short pageant, were some of the ingredients we had during this Holy Mass.

After the Holy Mass, the whole school gathered in the School Hall to enjoy the Christmas Concert. Each class prepared for this concert, and it was a very enjoyable one. TheY7s worked on a short movie ‘Twas the Night before Christmas’ prepared by Ms. Anita and Ms Susanne, while the Y8s worked on a Ms. Dorothy’s original piece ‘Hurry, Hurry, little Harry, Harry Henslow’, with some live performances and filmed ones. The Y9s worked on an original musical, written by Mr. Dwayne and directed by Mr. Bryan ‘Nibqgħu Nemmnu’while the Y10’s had 3 radio channels with some interference, prepared by Ms. Gianella. The Form 5s wrote and filmed a short movie, mimicking their teachers in ‘Fl-iStaff Room’. Fr. Jeremy Vella and Bro. Piotr Kopacz played some melodic tunes in their Piano and Clarinet Duet. The concert ended with the Annual School Staff Music Video production. The whole show was well enjoyed by all present.

The boys and the school staff then, gathered at the refectory to end this wonderful day with a party, where music, games, food and drinks, were the order of the day. It was an enjoyable day indeed.
