Celebrating the Feast of St. John Bosco
We commenced the grand celebrations of St. John Bosco with a solemn and joyous Mass at St. Patrick’s School. The service was led by Fr. Eric Cachia sdb, the Provincial, whose presence added a touch of reverence and significance to the occasion. The Mass was a fitting start to the festivities.
St. John Bosco, affectionately known as Don Bosco, is celebrated worldwide for his pioneering work in education and his unwavering commitment to the welfare of youth. He dedicated his life to the betterment of young people, especially those who were marginalized and underprivileged. His educational philosophy emphasized Religion, Reason, and Loving Kindness, and he founded the Salesian Society to continue his mission.
Later on the students played several games such as bowling, basketball, handball target shooting and slam ball throws! It was sheer fun and a pleasure to watch educators and students enjoying the day in an authentic Salesian family spirit! Thanks to Mr Alessio Magro who organised the games.
The day ended with the traditional Ravjulata prepared by Ms Susanna Callus, Mr Renald Buhagiar, Mr Rene Grech, Ms Rose Caruana and Ms Rose Axisa. It was a memorable day indeed.
