The feast of Mary Help of Christians was celebrated at St. Patrick’s Salesian School on Wednesday 24th May. The day started with a special Mass Celebration at St. Patrick’s Church, were a number of students participated in the celebration by serving or reading. After the Mass, all students walked towards the Neptunes Water Polo Club pool, and had a 2 hour swimming activities organised by Malta Sports. It was surely a fun day.
Saint John Chrysostom was the first person to use this Marian title in year 345 AD. However, Don Bosco propagated this same devotion towards Mary Help of Christians. It is celebrated on the 24th of May, worldwide. At St. Patrick’s, an annual procession is held in the streets surrounding our building. However, this year, due to bad weather, the festivities were done slightly differently.
