Comino & Gozo

Year 7 & 8

The Year 7 and 8 students recently enjoyed an adventurous day exploring Comino and Gozo, starting with an exciting boat ride from Marfa. Their first stop was the stunning island of Comino, where a short hike led them to the breathtaking Blue Lagoon. Here, some bought refreshing pineapple drinks as they soaked in the crystal-clear waters, swimming and playing in the picturesque setting.

After their time at the Blue Lagoon, the adventure continued with a trip to Gozo’s beautiful Hondoq ir-Rummien. At Hondoq, we had the chance to explore the mysterious caves and enjoying the natural beauty that surrounded them. The exploration was followed by a much-anticipated ice cream break, a sweet reward for their efforts.

To cap off the memorable day, the group boarded a fast boat for an exhilarating ride back to Malta, filled with excitement and chatter about their experiences. The combination of fun, exploration, and stunning scenery made this day trip to Comino and Gozo an unforgettable adventure for the Year 7 and 8 students.

Year 9 & 10

One unforgettable afternoon in Gozo took us to the beautiful Hondoq ir-Rummien, where the students enjoyed a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear waters. The tranquil bay provided the perfect spot for relaxation, with the group splashing around and taking in the stunning surroundings. After working up an appetite, everyone gathered for a delicious pizza by the beach, ready to enjoy the rest of the afternoon.

As we ate, nature added a dramatic twist to our day with sudden thunderclaps echoing in the sky. The storm, though distant, provided unexpected entertainment, creating a vibrant backdrop for our meal. The flashes of lightning in the distance lit up the horizon, making the scene even more spectacular.

Though the weather was unpredictable, it didn’t dampen spirits. The students laughed and joked, finding excitement in the stormy spectacle while enjoying their pizza. It became a memorable moment where the simple joy of sharing a meal was made extraordinary by the dramatic show provided by nature.

The afternoon at Hondoq ir-Rummien was one to remember, filled with adventure, laughter, and the thrill of a surprise thunderstorm, which turned an ordinary day into something truly special for everyone.
